Horse Welfare Factoid
Shipments of American horses to Mexican slaughterhouses is down 25 percent in 2019 compared to the same timeframe in 2018. The decrease could be due to the fact that kill buyers and their brokers have found a more lucrative market on Facebook, or it could be due to growing Congressional support for the SAFE Act.
Whatever the reason, it’s great news for horses!
